‘Ee Adutha Kalathu’ is all about six different people living in different backgrounds and how they are linked with some happenings that comes there way without their knowledge. Vishnu (Indrajith) is a person who lives with picking some useful things from what people throw away as waste. His wife Remani (Mythili) works as a house keep. Ajay kurien (Murali Gopi) and Madhuri Kurien (Tanushri) are couples who have something wrong going on between them. Tom Cherian (Anoop Menon) is a police officer who always have a soft corner to Rupa (Lena) who is a journalist. Watson (Baiju) is a cruel financer. Rustam (Nishan) is trying to trap many girls. Bonacaud Ramachandran (Jagathy) is the director of local newspaper named ‘Thee’.The movie is all about how all these people are linked towards the later part of the movie.

The movies first half may not suit all kinds of audience due to a lack of clarity on what’s happening its just a walk through towards the life of some people. It really feels confusing of what is being shown with no relation between previous scenes. The second half of the movie is really amazing as it brings connectivity towards what was shown in the first half. The linking of stories are shown in a great manner that one feels that it’s all just a coincidence. Moving towards the climax it’s the biggest positive for the movie. In the second half we feel the tension and get surprised by the twists happening in the movie. There are also some good comedy numbers in the movie which comes out naturally that we may break out to laugh without our knowledge.

Director Arun Kumar who had proved his talent through ‘Cocktale’ once again gets a good piece to reveal that he is even more talented, he himself have done the editing for the movie too. Murali’s script is a better one this time comparing to his previous for ‘Rasikan’. Cinematography by Shehnad needs a great applause. Music by Gopi Sunder was also suiting to the situations.

Indrajith, Murali Gopi, Anoop Menon and Nishan have done a great job in the acting section out of which Indrajith was outstanding. Bengali model Madhuri have done a great job. Mythili felt a little bit down on the acting section where at some point she gave a good performance but at some other points it just felt as an average performance. Jagathy as usual have done his part well along with Baiju.

The movie is just another golden feather for Arun Kumar. In box office the movie may fail seeing the theater performance but it doesn’t show that the movie is not up to the mark. Lack of star power for Indrajith might affect this really good movie like what happened for ‘Nayakan’ which was really amazing. With the big releases waiting for march 23 this movie may go unnoticed.

“EE ADUTHA KALATHU IS A GOOD WORK WHICH MAY PUT YOU IN A CONFUSING STATE DURING THE FIRST HALF AND THEN GIVE YOU A CLEAR PICTURE IN THE SECOND HALF”
